Steel culverts

Corrugated steel pipes are divided into the following groups according to shape:
− round
− low construction
− traffic tunnel type
− elliptical and horizontal elliptical
− steel arch

The shape of the pipe must be considered on a case-by-case basis, considering local circumstances and specific aspects. The steel arch is considered to be a pipe bridge, despite its different construction. The round pipe is suitable for railway bridges, river bridges and traffic tunnels serving health sports and agriculture.
The low-construction pipe is suitable for traffic tunnels and river bridges under a low dam. Low construction pipe with a certain water depth can carry even 50% more water than a round pipe of the same height placed at the same depth. The use of a low-structure pipe is limited by the high bottom load at the lower corners of the pipe which places special demands on the bearing capacity of the subsoil. For example, adjacent round tubes can be used instead of a low design tube. There are several types of low construction pipes with a different radius of curvature of the lower angle. Our products are used everywhere – from the construction of culverts and bridges of all road classes to the construction of highways and heavy truck service roads.
Semicircular steel plates are made according to EN standard.
